Frequent Questions asked by people seeking hypnotherapy in Kent

What exactly is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation and concentration, very much likened to daydreaming ‘I was miles away’. You are totally aware at all times.

Can everybody be hypnotised?

Mostly, yes, with the exception of people who are mentally disabled.

Will I be aware of what’s happening?

Yes, you will. You will feel totally relaxed and be aware at all times of what’s occurring. You are not asleep!!

Should I be concerned about anything?

There is nothing to be concerned about in relation to Hypnosis. It has proved to be a very effective therapeutic aid for many, many years.

How many sessions are required?

Suggestion therapy generally only requires a single session. Weight control could take up to three sessions (Hypnoband is 5 sessions). The success rate is surprisingly high. Clients who have a more deep-rooted problem will more than likely require analytical rather than suggestion therapy and this usually consists of between 10-12 sessions.

Are any kind of drugs used?

No, none at all!

Can I be influenced to do anything against my will or nature?

No, absolutely not. You are still in full possession of your faculties and would not do anything you would not normally do outside hypnosis.

Can you help with medical problems?

During the Initial Consultation, I ask a number of questions in order to decide on the best form of therapy or training to use. I would ensure that the client has sought any necessary medical help from their GP before embarking on any type of treatment.

How will I feel when I come out of hypnosis?

You will definitely feel all the better for it; you will feel relaxed and calm. You will find it easier to sleep and generally a greater feeling of well being.

How can I make an appointment?

Contact me any time. I deal with all calls personally. If I am unable to take the call because I am with a client I will return your call at the first opportunity so we can discuss your problems briefly before making an appointment.
